Stanley professional smoothing planes have been designed for final finishing of cabinet and general joinery work with a 45mm blade width. They are made from accurately machined fine grey iron castings and have a simple and rapid adjustment mechanism, with easy blade removal for sharpening and finger tip adjustment for depth of cut and cutter alignment.

A black epoxy finish with plated parts and chrome carbon cutter enhance the attributes of these models.
